During this time of year we start to think about the dreams we want to fulfil in the new year.

Some of the most common New Year’s resolutions we make are: “I am going to lose weight”, “I am going to sign up for the gym”, “I am going to spend more time with my family”. We tell ourselves: “Yes, this time I am going to do it”.

But our projects do not always go to plan, and we risk losing the chance to attain our aims. This is why I have made a list of ideas that can help you make your dreams come true:

    Make a list of your New Year’s resolutions.

  • PRIORITISE YOUR RESOLUTIONS

    List your resolutions by order of importance.

  • CHOOSE YOUR OBJECTIVES

    Choose one or two objectives that you want to commit to.

  • THINK SHORT-TERM

    Think of how you want to see yourself once you have started your path towards your objectives and how attaining these objectives is going to benefit you.

  • REFLECT ON YOUR LIFE AND TAKE NOTE

    Think about what habits you should change to achieve your objectives and write them down.

  • SET DEADLINES

    Set deadlines to achieve your objectives. It might help to write these in your diary.

  • ANALYSE

    Set a date to assess whether you are achieving your objectives, evaluate your progress and analyse your results. Don’t forget to use your diary to keep track of deadlines!
